NASHVILLE, Tenn. – – The Tennessee Titans took a few actions to get under the compensation cap Wednesday, delivering long-term left tackle Taylor Lewan, wide collector Robert Woods, inside linebacker Zach Cunningham and kicker Randy Bullock.

Before Wednesday’s moves, the Titans had been around $23.3 million over the compensation cap. By delivering Lewan ($14.8 million), Woods ($12 million), Cunningham ($8.9 million), and Bullock ($2 million), the Titans saved around $37.7 million against their cap.

Lewan, a three-time Expert Bowl hostile lineman, was the No. 11 pick in the 2014 draft. Lewan, 31, was entering the last time of the five-year, $80 million agreement he endorsed in 2018.

“I want to believe that I did what’s necessary to make something all the titan fans can be pleased with, I love all of you,” Lewan posted on his own Twitter account.

The nine-year veteran was the longest-tenured player in the Titans’ program. Lewan had two upper leg tendon medical procedures in three years that restricted him to playing in just 20 games over the beyond three seasons.

Lewan’s most recent leg tendon tear happened last season in Week 2 against the Bison Bills. Presently Lewan needs to sort out whether or not he needs to keep playing football.

He was delivered with a bombed actual assignment.

The Titans exchanged a 2023 6th-round pick to the Los Angeles Slams last year for Woods, who was falling off a leg tendon tear in November 2021.

Woods, 30, worked his direction back from the injury and played in each of the 17 games last season. Woods, a 10-season veteran, posted 53 gatherings for 527 yards and two scores in his primary season with the Titans.

Tennessee guaranteed Cunningham, 28, on waivers after the Houston Texans delivered him in 2021. An elbow injury kept Cunningham out for a large portion of last season. He played in just six games in 2022 and posted 24 handles.

Cunningham likewise was delivered with a bombed actual assignment.

Bullock, 33, made 17 of 20 objective field endeavors and was great on each of the additional 28-point endeavors last season.
