Cart Parton commended her 77th birthday celebration on Thursday and told fans she would have rather not gotten anything for her important day — she needed to give. She said the gift to her fans is a tune that came to her in a fantasy.

“I have a melody I’m dropping today on my birthday. A tune came to me in a fantasy and I felt like it merited putting out there, something uniquely great. It’s extraordinary to me,” she said in an Instagram video.

“I had a fantasy about God remaining on a mountain peering down on us, saying: ‘Don’t make me descend there,'” she said. “Indeed, it awakened me. I kicked up and off composing this melody.”

She said over a time of months she completed the tune — “Don’t Cause Me To need to Descend There” — as more would come to her. “I just felt like I ought to drop it on my birthday. So I want to believe that you appreciate it.”

The notable blue grass music star now has a broad discography tracing back to the 1960s, with many collections and hits like “Jolene” and “I Will Constantly Cherish You.” This year, she will deliver another collection called “Demigod,” highlighting fronts of rock tunes without help from anyone else and different stars like Pink and Brandi Carlile.

To get that exemplary stone to feel on her new collection, Parton enrolled Paul McCartney, Stevie Scratches, John Fogerty, Steve Perry, Steven Tyler, and others to cover exemplary melodies by specialists like the Drifters and Drove Dirigible.
