Whereas, December 7, 2022, marks the 81st anniversary of the assault on the USA at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii; and
Whereas this army attack claimed the lives of over 2,400 American soldiers and citizens and injured over 1000 greater, and the resulting destruction was the first-rate – in addition to the loss of infrastructure on the bottom, 20 American naval vessels, along with eight battleships of the U.S. Pacific Fleet, and over three hundred airplanes have been sunk or destroyed; and
Whereas, the bombing of Pearl Harbor pressured us to go into international war II, in which the women and men of our military fought courageously to defeat tyranny, ease our nation, and defend the freedoms of absolutely everyone; and
Whereas, this present day serves as a stark reminder of the tremendous provider and selfless sacrifice of our armed servicemen and women who threaten their lives and privacy protection to protect our country from harm and maintain our country’s founding values and liberties; and
While, today, we mirror upon the lack of human existence and the destruction of the Pearl Harbor Base and pause in commemoration of those who fought and died on December 7, 1941, and we honor their bravery and final sacrifice; and
While our military carrier individuals positioned themselves in threat to guard the values we hold valuable, we can’t measure the debt of gratitude we owe to them.

In Alaska, inspire all Alaskans to not forget the extremely good carrier of our nation’s Veterans, and order the Alaska kingdom Flag to be flown at 1/2-staff in honor of the American lives misplaced at Pearl Harbor.
