Class is back in meeting by and by.

“Local area,” the six-season hit NBC satire series about a gathering of understudies at a junior college, will get back with a hotly anticipated film, NBC’s web-based feature Peacock reported Friday – satisfying the show’s own “six seasons and a film” prediction.

“‘Six seasons and a film’ began as a shameless line from Local area’s initial seasons and immediately touched off an energetic fan development for this famous, humorous and cool (cool, cool) NBC parody,” said Susan Rovner, the director of diversion content at NBCUniversal TV and Streaming. “We’re unbelievably thankful that 15 years after the fact, we can convey fans this guaranteed film.”

The film will stream on Peacock, which will likewise get the full series non-excusively. However a delivery date has not yet been reported, unique stars Joel McHale, Danny Pudi, Alison Brie, Gillian Jacobs, Jim Rash and Ken Jeong will all return for the film, as per the authority declaration. It isn’t yet certain if Yvette Nicole Brown and Donald Glover will show up, however the two were labeled on Twitter by McHale as the news was reported. (McHale didn’t label previous cast part Chevy Pursue whose exit from the series followed detailed conflicts with series maker Dan Harmon.)

“Local area” debuted in 2009 on NBC and immediately turned into a fan number one. The show ran for 110 episodes, with its 6th season moving to Hurray! Screen, where its finale broadcasted in 2015.
