Williams corralled 8 receptions (10 objectives) for 113 yards and a touchdown in Thursday’s 27-24 loss to the Chiefs.

The absence of Keenan Allen (hamstring) opened the door for Williams to become the number one choice at some point of the first half of the primetime contest, but the Chiefs held the large-bodied target to simply catches within the 2nd half and zero in a important fourth zone which noticed the Chargers cough up the lead. The Chargers, which also noticed beginning middle Corey Linsley (knee) and beginning right tackle Trey Pipkins (ankle) depart with respective injuries in the second half at the same time as quarterback Justin Herbert gutted via an apparent rib harm, may have 10 days to recover before the group squares off towards a porous Jaguars defense in Week three.
