State leader Justin Trudeau and NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg will be in Cold Lake, Alta., Friday as they wrap up a visit zeroed in on northern guards.

On Thursday they went to Operation Nanook, the country’s biggest Arctic military preparation activity, and visited a radar station in Nunavut.

Specialists have noticed this is important for Canada’s reestablished shine on Arctic security considering Russia’s attack of Ukraine, anSd the resulting development of NATO.

With Finland and Sweden becoming individuals, Russia will be the sole Arctic country beyond the union.

Stoltenberg and Trudeau will hold a reciprocal gathering subsequent to visiting the Royal Canadian Air Force base in Cold Lake.

The NATO boss is probably going to raise the issue of protection spending, considering that Canada is among the nations that have reliably neglected to arrive at the union’s objective of expenditure two percent of GDP on the military.
